Simon is responsible for managing the overall MODUS team and ensuring the office environment is productive and engaging, and an enjoyable place to work.
Simon has wide-ranging experience gained through working in the commercial and industrial construction sector since 1996, working on a variety of projects across sectors Australia-wide.
Growing up on a sheep, cropping and cattle farm in the wheat-belt town of Wagin, Simon is driven toward finding a practical solution to problems, understanding always that construction has to be commercially viable, as well as operationally functional.
When not at work, Simon enjoys relaxing with the family, riding his bike or heading to the beach.
Colin Gardiner is an Associate Director and Senior Building Designer with over twelve years experience working with MODUS Design and along with his well developed sense of humour, plays a valuable role in the tight-knit but relaxed company culture.
Colin’s keen eye for detail and approach to work has made him a valuable member of the MODUS team. He has a developed a methodical and measured approach to design and drafting as well as experience in a wide range of projects and is considered a safe pair of hands managing complex projects where all consultants need to be kept abreast of decisions as they develop.
A trusted and safe pair of hands, Colin is able to pick up and deliver a vast array of projects whereby clients value his considered opinion on all aspects of architectural delivery or management of processes therein.
During his time at MODUS, Colin has included extra-curricular studies to become an Accredited Energy Efficiency Assessor and his interest and knowledge in sustainable building are an asset to himself and the company..
Onnika is MODUS Design’s Business Manager, responsible for the smooth running of the company including supplier relationships, digital presence, accounts, HR support and monitoring the progress of the company against it's strategic plan.
With a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and strong background in market analysis and strategy, Onnika also is tasked with supporting Michelle in Partnerships with new business development.
A proven collaborator in cross functional teams to solve business problems, Onnika enjoys the challenge of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where she applies a coaching-style of leadership, focusing on developing individual strengths to unlock potential and create a strong and motivated team.
Outside of work, Onnika likes to spend time with her partner and young family, exercise, entertaining with friends and enjoying music.
Michelle manages business development for MODUS and seeks to form strong relationships between the company and clients such as Developers, Builders, Project Managers, Facilities Managers, Investor and the like.
Her background as a residential & commercial building designer gives Michelle terrific insight into the industry and a solid understanding of processes in which MODUS can add value to our clients.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys keeping fit at her local CrossFit Box and spending time with her cat Harper and husband Rob.
Senior Architect (WA Reg 2571)
Adelene Wee is MODUS Design's Senior Architect responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of company projects including managing client expectations, stakeholder engagement and management of project consultants.
Adelene employs a collaborative approach to projects where the team feel they can contribute to their highest, and all available building methodologies are fully explored in order to ensure the client gets the optimum solution first time, every time. Her CV includes corporate roll-outs such as Aldi, one-off technical projects such as the Woodside Robotics Lab, up to being the Project Architect on the $65M DoubleTree development in Fremantle.
With a keen eye for adding value to anything she touches, Adelene has added to her credentials with qualifications in ISO9001:2015 as an Internal Auditor and is a Green Star Accredited Professional.
Outside of work, Adelene is a passionate dog lover who contributes the wider community in a variety of ways including donating her personal time for the Dog's dog shelters and other charitable bodies, as well as campaigning for Animal Welfare causes. Adelene also regularly looks after refuge dogs.
Building Designer & Project Manager
Miranda is an experienced Revit-based Building Designer and Project Manager responsible for the accurate and efficient management of a wide variety of projects for MODUS's clients.
Friendly, quick and accurate, our clients can rely on Miranda to follow through on agreed deadlines, ensuring that their key design outcomes are achieved on time, every time.
Miranda started her career working in her native Alberta, Canada working on a wide range of commercial and institutional projects. Prior to commencing with MODUS, Miranda locally worked for ScentreGroup on their 30,000 SQM Westfield Carousel Expansion project where she further honed her already Jedi Revit skills.
Outside of work, Miranda enjoys relaxing with her partner Josh, travel and relaxing on the beach.
Fiona is MODUS's Project Coordinator responsible for ensuring seamless delivery of MODUS's work including project scheduling and submissions to authorities. Fiona has excellent communication skills and provides clients with updates on the progression of their projects.
Prior to commencing with MODUS, Fiona worked in the WA legal sector as a Senior Legal Secretary & Office Manager responsible for training and managing secretarial and administrative staff as well as assisting with billing, staff travel, and logistics.
Fiona and her partner Dave love spending time on the beach with their two fur kids.
Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable
Chris is the MODUS company bookkeeper and is responsible for managing Accounts Payable and administering the Company's finances including liaising with the ATO and our external accountants PKF.
Aside from working with MODUS since 2006, Chris's previous experience includes working in London for Euro Elite Recruitment, and in Australia, BSD Consultants, E-Shares, Brookhampton Estate, and Cousin's Electrics.
When not working on the company's accounts Chris looks after two kids, a hyper-active dog and squeezes in the odd walk and pilates session.
Personal Assistant & Office Coordinator
Angelique is the Personal Assistant to the Director and Office Coordinator, responsible for providing support to the Director & general support to the team, across various projects.
She is a highly motivated, senior administrative professional with exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills and is a natural problem solver.
With over 12 years of experience managing secretarial and administrative tasks for senior staff members and working with both internal and external stakeholders, Angelique brings a high level of support to the team.
Outside of work, Angelique enjoys soaking up the Australian sunshine and visiting the beach as often as possible with her husband and two very energetic dogs!
